Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • ⅓ cup semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

Step 1: Make the Dough

  • Whisk the egg in a medium basin until fully beaten.
  • Include salt, baking soda, vanilla, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Stir for roughly 15 seconds, or until the mixture thickens somewhat and combines.
  • Incorporate chocolate chunks by folding.


Step 2: Form the Cookies

  • Shape the dough into 1-inch balls—roughly 1 tablespoon each.
  • Carefully press each ball into a 1½-inch wide disk.
  • Set on a dish as you get the air fryer ready.


Step 3: Air fry the cookies

  • Cover your air-fryer basket with foil, leaving a 1–2 inch overhang on two opposing sides for simple lifting.
  • Place cookies in the basket in batches, roughly ½ inch apart.
  • Cook until deeply golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes at 350°F.


Step 4: Serve and Cool

  • Gently raise the foil with the cookies out of the basket; foil will be hot.
  • About five minutes on the foil will help cookies to cool and firm up.
  • Move to a wire rack to finish cooling.

  • Craving more chocolate? Before air frying, sprinkle some chips on top.
  • No air fryer available? About 8 to 10 minutes at 350°F will bake them in the oven.
