Ingredients

  • 1½ cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup chopped kale (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 medium banana
  • 2 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp honey


Instructions

  1. Put everything into a blender.
  2. Blend till creamy and smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and drink immediately.

  • Frozen fruit helps the smoothie to be thicker and cooler. No frozen bananas? Include a handful of ice.
  • Choose a thickener: Almond butter gives creaminess and good fats. You can trade it for Greek yogurt, peanut butter, or omit it for a thinner consistency.
  • Select Your Liquid: Almond milk gives a nutty taste. Try fruit juice or coconut milk for a creamier or tropical flavor. Skip the thickener and use less liquid.
