[Recipes] Sweet 'N Salty Chocolate Bark – A Fun, Low Sugar Snack Everyone Will Crave

Ingredients

For the Bark:

  • 2 (12-oz.) bags dark chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/2 cup salted pretzels, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/4 cup unsalted pistachios, roughly chopped
  • Flaky sea salt, for garnish


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Baking Sheet

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour a third of the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and use an offset spatula to spread it into an even layer, about 1/8" thick.


Step 2: Add the Toppings

  • Sprinkle half of the pretzels, dried cherries, coconut flakes, and pistachios evenly over the chocolate layer.


Step 3: Add More Chocolate

  • Pour the remaining melted dark chocolate over the toppings and spread it to evenly cover them.


Step 4: Add the Final Toppings

  • Evenly sprinkle the remaining pretzels, cherries, coconut, and pistachios over the top. Garnish with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt.


Step 5: Cool and Break into Pieces

  • Allow the bark to cool until set, about 1 hour. Once set, break it into pieces. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to eat.

TIPS
  • Customizing: Feel free to swap out the dried cherries for other dried fruits like cranberries or raisins. You can also use different nuts, such as almonds or pecans.
  • Storage: Keep the bark in the refrigerator to prevent it from melting and maintain its crisp texture.
